ENCX is a product designed for use by professional software developers working in marine electronics and other appropriate markets. As such a certain level of expertise with appropriate software techniques, together with marine industry domain knowledge, are generally required to use it.

We have worked hard to try to ensure that any commercial software developer in the field will find it as easy as possible to use ENCX. Nevertheless, we will make our best effort to support developers using ENCX in line with good industry practice and our own high standards.

Naturally, we will not normally support third party software, hardware, or end-user caused problems. (We support you – you support your customer). But in the unlikely event that you find there is a problem you think we might be able to help with for some reason – contact us.

Our policy is to keep things as simple as possible, which is why we intend only to support the current version of the software (which you should always be able to download). We also believe that by the time your system is ready and being sold to end-users, there will be very little left for us to do.

Generally speaking, we have tried not to over specify support systems – partly because we think there is little need, and partly because we prefer, if necessary, to discuss specific needs with specific clients. On average we think this is cheaper for developers.

You may have a genuine interest in the software while not being a commercial developer. If you are a potential industrial partner, for example, or perhaps an industry stakeholder or official body, we would be pleased to hear from you.

If you have a casual or academic interest in our software, by all means take the demonstration version and explore it. However, you will understand that we do not guarantee to supply or support ENCX other than for genuine commercial reasons.
